Facebook Fundraisers: Easy as 1-2-3

Last year alone, Facebook users raised over $1 billion to raise money for non-profit organizations worldwide. Here at the Advocacy Center, we received over $4,000 in Facebook donations, most of which were fundraisers for people’s birthdays, campaigns on giving days (Giving is Gorges and Giving Tuesday), or during our various awareness months. We are so grateful! This new form of “peer-to-peer” fundraising is a very effective tool for supporting organizations whose mission you support. Unlike other platforms, Facebook does not collect a processing fee, so 100% of the funds raised go directly to the agency. Are you interested in trying this in 2020? It is easy as 1-2-3!

1) Choose whether you are organizing the fundraiser as your personal account or on behalf of a group/business/organization.

2) Set your fundraising goal and fundraiser end date. This could be $50, $100, $500 or any amount you choose!

3) Complete the story of why you are choosing to raise donations for The Advocacy Center.
