As part of a victim’s safety plan, our advocates often provide cell phones in a time of crisis when access to their phone has been monitored, removed or destroyed. Our campaign this year is to provide as many basic cellphones with three months of paid service for survivors of domestic and sexual violence to use in emergencies and to access services.

Every donation towards meeting our goal allows us to immediately help survivors of abuse in Tompkins County take steps to be safer. Every $75 raised purchases a cell phone for a survivor, and each $25 gift pays for one month of unlimited cell phone service.

And if we exceed our $2,000 goal, we’ll be able to help even more survivors who need this essential safety resource.
