JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Position: Administrative Assistant – Full Time (35 hours/week)

Salary: $16.34/hour with generous benefits

Start Date: ASAP, this is an in-office position.

Job Function: Our progressive social service agency seeks a full time Administrative Assistant to support the work of the agency. This front office position is an important component of our team, providing broad-based administrative support for the office, conducting all matters pertaining to the front office, and serving as the first point of contact for Advocacy Center clients and visitors, setting a welcoming and professional tone. Responsibilities include office reception, answering the phone and triaging calls, administrative support for Executive Director and Leadership Team, logistical assistance with special events, managing and ordering office supplies, primary office contact for maintenance needs and coordination with repair vendors, updating and maintaining staff orientation materials and manuals, and performing other duties as assigned.

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Position:   Youth/Family Advocate – Full Time

Salary:   $16.34/hr with generous benefits

Start Date:   ASAP

Job Function:    Applicants must be able to navigate stairs, periods of sitting.  Standing and movement required.  Vehicle and valid driver’s license is required.   Participation in a paid rotation of after-hours on-call (weeknight, weekend, and holiday), with other client services staff is required. Must be able to respond in person to Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY within 45 minutes.

The Youth/Family Advocate will provide support, advocacy, information and referrals and case management services to sexually abused youth and non–offending family members who receive services through our Child Advocacy Center and other agency access points. The Youth/Family Advocate will support youth and families during and after investigative interviews with law enforcement and child protection and will  help access necessary services for the youth and family.

The Youth/Family Advocate will work collaboratively with law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, medical personnel, mental health, school staff and others on behalf of the child and family and will accompany youth and families to hospital-based sexual assault exams as needed as well as to court proceedings.

Position: Domestic Violence Advocate

Salary: Full time $16.34/hr with generous benefits

Start Date: ASAP

Job Function: Applicants must be able to navigate stairs, periods of sitting. Standing and
movement required. vehicle for travel throughout the county and/or transporting clients as
needed and valid driver’s license is required. Participation in a paid rotation of after-hours
on-call (weeknight, weekend, and holiday), with other client services staff is required. Must be
able to respond in person to Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY within 45 minutes.

Our progressive social service agency seeks a Domestic Violence Advocate, who will provide emotional support and advocacy services to victims of domestic violence and their children.

The Domestic Violence Advocate provides systems advocacy on behalf of the survivor and accompanies them to meetings with law enforcement, prosecutors, and caseworkers, and to court.  They attend bi-monthly domestic violence  multidisciplinary team meetings with prosecutors, probation, mental health and child protection and regularly attend Tompkins County  Integrated Domestic Violence Court with and on behalf of domestic violence survivors.
