Available Positions (updated 4.25.22):

Position: Youth/Family Advocate
Schedule: Full Time at 35 hr/week
Salary: $16.51/hr with $.50 hourly increase after 6 month provisional employment period is
successfully completed. After hours pay (average of 4-5 shifts monthly) provides an additional
average $2,500 annually.
Start Date: May 2022
After Hours On Call Requirement: Must be able to respond in person to Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY within 45 minutes from home.

The Youth/Family Advocate will provide immediate and ongoing support, advocacy and case management services to sexually abused children, teens and non–offending family members who receive services through our Child Advocacy Center and through other agency access points.  Support services are also provided to adult survivors of child sexual abuse and teen victims of relationship violence. The Youth/Family Advocate will work collaboratively with law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, medical personnel, mental health, school staff and others on behalf of the young person and family and will accompany youth and families to forensic sexual assault exams as needed as well as to court proceedings.

The person in this position will share in a paid rotation of after-hours (weeknight, weekend, and holiday) on-call shifts (approx. 4-5/month) with other advocates, which may include in person response.

Position: Hotline Advocate
Schedule: Full Time at 35 hr/week
Salary: $16.51/hr with $.50 hourly increase after 6 month provisional employment period is

The Hotline Advocate will assess caller’s needs and provide immediate support, information, referrals and advocacy services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child sexual abuse, as well as to non-offending family members, professionals and others who are supporting victims. For those who choose to utilize the legal system, the Hotline Advocate will help with filing for Orders of Protection, accompaniment to law enforcement to make criminal reports and accompaniment to the hospital for medical exams following a sexual assault.

The person in this position will share in a paid rotation of after-hours (weeknight, weekend, and holiday) on-call shifts (approx. 4-5/month) with other advocates, which may include in person response.

Position: Domestic Violence Advocate
Schedule: Full Time at 35 hr/week
Salary: $16.51/hr with $.50 hourly increase after 6 month provisional employment period is
successfully completed. After hours pay (average of 4-5 shifts monthly) provides an additional
average $2,500 annually.
Start Date: ASAP
After Hours On Call Requirement: Must be able to respond in person to Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY within 45 minutes from home.

The Domestic Violence Advocate will compassionately and confidently provide support, advocacy and case management services to survivors of domestic violence and their children. For those survivors who choose to utilize the legal system, the advocate may help them file for Orders of Protection and accompany them to meetings with law enforcement and prosecutors, as well as to any necessary court proceedings. The person in this position will attend bi-monthly multidisciplinary team case meetings working collaboratively with community partners and regularly attends the Tompkins County Integrated Domestic Violence Court with and on behalf of domestic violence survivors. Services are provided individually and through support groups.

Position: Administrative Assistant
Schedule: Full Time at 35 hr/week
Salary: $16.51/hr with $.50 hourly increase after 6 month provisional employment period is
successfully completed.
Start Date: ASAP

The Administrative Assistant is an important component of our team and provides broad support for the work of the agency. This front office position will provide broad-based administrative support for the office, conduct all matters pertaining to the front office, and serve as the first point of contact for Advocacy Center clients and visitors, setting a welcoming and professional tone. Responsibilities include office reception, answering the phone and triaging calls, administrative support for Executive Director and Leadership Team, logistical assistance with special events, managing and ordering office supplies, primary office contact for maintenance needs and coordination with repair vendors, updating and maintaining staff orientation materials and manuals, and performing other duties as assigned.
