Therapist: Youth and Families – Full-Time

Status:    Full Time (35 hours/week)

Salary: $50,500 with generous benefits

We are seeking a full time Therapist for our Clinical Program in order to increase access to quality, trauma informed mental health services for victims of abuse in Tompkins County. The Therapist will:

  • Provide culturally-informed, developmentally appropriate, trauma-focused clinical services utilizing TF-CBT as a primary treatment modality to young people who have been sexually abused and to non-offending caregivers/family members. Services may be provided individually, with families and in groups.
  • Develop goal plans with youth and their non-offending parent or guardians, and engage in ongoing goal planning and evaluation. 
  • Provide a mental health perspective at monthly multidisciplinary (law enforcement, medical, social services, prosecutors, probation and victim advocates) case review team meetings Coordinate treatment and advocate for victim needs with other partners as needed.
  • Collaborate with our victim advocates who provide support and advocacy services to youth and adults receiving clinical services.

Community Engagement Specialist – Full-Time

Status:  Full Time at 35 hours week

Salary:   $16.47/hr with generous benefits

Our progressive social service agency seeks a Community Engagement Specialist who will work independently and as part of our education team. The Community Engagement Specialist will manage all aspects of volunteer engagement and supervision for the Advocacy Center. This includes recruitment, coordination of initial and ongoing training, management and support of volunteers on the 24 hour hotline, volunteer trainers with the Enough Abuse Tompkins program, community outreach volunteers, and volunteers that provide general agency support. Additionally, this position will be responsible for maintaining agency presence in the community including participation at community tabling events, maintenance of agency social media, newsletter, and agency outreach in print or digital platforms. 

Participation in a paid rotation of after-hours hotline on-call (weeknight, weekend, and holiday), with other client services staff is required.

Youth Educator – Full-Time

Status:   Full Time, 35 hours/week

Salary:   $16.47 with generous benefits

Start Date:    January 2020

Our progressive social service agency seeks a Youth Educator who will provide risk reduction and abuse prevention education to middle and high school aged youth on topics including child sexual abuse, teen sexual harssment and assault, teen dating abuse, and family domestic violence. Education will be delivered in school classes as well as  with community based youth programs. The Youth Educator will be responsible for coordinating with relevant professionals and maintaining strong relationships for effective delivery of programming. Additionally, the Youth Educator will work with youth clubs and groups to support their efforts in developing complementary events, programs, and displays for teen dating violence, domestic violence, and sexual assault awareness months.
