Domestic Violence Counselor Advocate OR Lead Domestic Violence Counselor Advocate
Salary: Full time $16.02-$19.23/hr with generous benefits
After Hours On Call Requirement: Must be able to respond to Cayuga Medical Center within 45 minutes

We have one open Domestic Violence position.  Depending on experience and qualifications, the successful candidate may be offered position of Domestic Violence Counselor Advocate or Lead Domestic Violence Counselor Advocate, which carries additional responsibilities.  Salary range based on experience.

Our progressive social service agency seeks a Domestic Violence Counselor Advocate, who will work independently and as part of our client services team providing emotional support and advocacy services to victims of domestic violence.  The Domestic Violence Counselor Advocate works collaboratively with law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, medical personnel and others on behalf of the survivor and accompanies them to meetings with law enforcement, prosecutors, and caseworkers, and to court.  They attend bi-monthly domestic violence multidisciplinary team meeting with law enforcement, prosecutors, probation, child protection, participate in the Integrated Domestic Violence Court, and facilitate support groups.

Participation in paid rotation of after-hours on-call (weeknight, weekend, and holiday), with other client services staff is required. After-hours on-call involves responding to calls on our 24 hour hotline from community members or professionals who need help regarding sexual assault, child sexual abuse and domestic violence.

Housing Case Manager – Full Time
Salary: $16.02/hr with generous benefits
Schedule:  Tuesday – Saturday Four days during the M-F work week and one weekend day
Start Date:  ASAP

Our progressive social service agency seeks a Housing Case Manager who will work with domestic and sexual violence survivors to identify, secure and maintain safe and permanent housing. The Housing Case Manager will provide trauma informed support, advocacy and intensive case management services to residents in our nine-bed confidential safe house as well as to non-residential survivors. Intensive case management services will include helping service users build personal and social service resources that can assist with rent, security deposits, utility setup, relocation costs, and household needs along with developing and maintaining relevant and meaningful housing case plans. Regular meetings with survivors to support case plan accomplishment will be required. Services will be provided at our shelter, at our main office, in the community and in the home.

This position works in a non-handicap accessible location. Applicant must be able to ascend/descend stairs, travel between job sites, and have the ability to lift up to 50 pound boxes to a height of 2-3 feet and load them into a car.
